Riverside Fatal Crash Friday at California Avenue and Sherman DriveFord and Saturn Involved in Deadly Collision

RIVERSIDE (April 6, 2019)

A woman was killed and another woman is in critical condition after a crash on California Avenue in Riverside on Friday.

The accident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. when an 84-year-old Riverside resident in a Saturn made a left turn onto southbound Sherman. The Saturn was then struck by a Ford Taurus driven by a 42-year-old traveling eastbound.

Passenger in Saturn Killed, Driver Badly Injured

The woman sitting in the front passenger seat of the Saturn who remains unidentified was fatally injured in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the 84-year-old driver of that car was hospitalized and is in critical condition.

According to Riverside police officials, the driver of the Ford suffered minor injuries, declining medical treatment at the scene.

Following the wreck, a stretch of California Avenue was closed for several hours while authorities conducted an accident investigation.

Woman Killed in Collision With Apex Auto Glass Truck

SANTA MARIA (April 4, 2019)

Santa Maria Fatal Crash at California Avenue and Union Valley ParkwayA woman driving a sedan was killed on Thursday in a crash involving an Apex Auto Glass pick-up truck.

The accident, which police are still investigating, took place at about 5 p.m.

Per officials, the woman ha been headed northbound on California Avenue when the Apex truck, headed eastbound on Union Valley Parkway, struck her.

The Santa Maria Police Department and Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident, where she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unclear at this time if alcohol or drugs played a part in the crash.

Police have not released the deceased woman’s name as they are trying to contact her family.

Bicyclist Killed by Drunk Driver in Riverbank Accident on Clause Road

Bicyclist Killed DUI Driver 

A male bicyclist was struck and killed by a drunk driver just before noon on Thursday in Riverbank.

Bicyclist Killed by Drunk Driver in Riverbank Accident on Clause Road, Jordan Pomares-BoehJordan Pomares-Boeh, 24, of Oakdale was booked at the Stanislaus County Jail after the accident.

Pomares-Boeh was driving north on Claus Road when his vehicle veered to the side of the road and struck the bicyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the bicyclist has not been released

Jordan Pomares-Boeh Arrested

Pomares-Boeh faces several charges, including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence, along with petty theft in a separate case. He remained in jail Thursday night with bail set at $102,000 bail.

A DUI crash left one injured Friday afternoon at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and 167th Avenue.

At roughly 1:31 p.m., a back and a white vehicle were confirmed to have collided.

Responding authorities arrested one motorist at the scene who was determined to have been under the influence but did not specify which vehicle thee suspect was driving.

No additional details have been provided as the intersection remains closed off as of 5:45 p.m.

A collision at Avenue 416 and Road 100 took place in Tulare County Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Avenue 416 and Road 100.

At roughly 12:18 p.m., authorities responded to the crash site where drivers of a Chevy pickup truck and a gold pickup truck hauling a trailer had collided.

Both Drivers Rushed to Medical Centers

Officials confirmed that one of the drivers was unable to free themself from their vehicle requiring the assistance of fire department personnel who were eventually able to remove the victim.

Per the report, both motorists suffered injuries which were described as very serious and transported from the scene to a hospital via ambulance.

Officials also noted that storage bins were scattered throughout the road.

No details were provided in the report as to what led up to and triggered the collision as CHP investigates.
