2 Injured in Car Accident at Golden Valley Road and Centre Pointe Parkway
SANTA CLARITA (February 27, 2019) – An alleged hit-and-run crash at Golden Valley Road and Centre Pointe Parkway left two people injured early Saturday, according to The Signal.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station reported that three vehicles collided at the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Centre Pointe Parkway.
The multi-car accident occurred on February 23 at approximately 12:20 a.m. near the City of Santa Clarita Skate Park.
As per the article, Los Angeles County Fire Department officials along with the paramedics were on scene and provided treatment to at least two parties who were confirmed to have been hurt upon impact.
Hit-and-Run Suspect Walter Rodriguez, 46, Arrested
Both patients were then taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, but the extent of the injuries they sustained were not specified in the report. The names and condition of the victims at this time were also not available.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that one of the motorists involved apparently fled the area following the wreck. The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Walter Rodriguez, was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury, a misdemeanor.
The Santa Clarita man was reportedly taken into custody in lieu of $10,000 bail, but was later released. The incident is still under investigation.
