Vito DiGiorgio, 78, Dead After Crash on PCH Near Capistrano Beach
DANA POINT (February 26, 2019) – An elderly pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident along Pacific Coast Highway Saturday evening, February 23, according to The Orange County Register.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as 78-year-old Vito DiGiorgio, of San Juan Capistrano.
As per the article, deputies said the incident began when DiGiorgio was trying to cross Pacific Coast Highway from Capistrano Beach near Sunsets Bar at about 6:11 p.m.

DiGiorgio was initially hit by a white Range Rover which was traveling south at the time. He was thrown into a northbound lane where he was ultimately struck by a silver Dodge Ram and a black Toyota Solara.
Orange County Fire Authority officials along with the responded to the site and pronounced DiGiorgio dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, officers affirmed that the drivers of all three vehicles involved stopped following the crash and cooperated with the authorities. The incident remains under investigation.
