56-Year-Old Motorcyclist Identified
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 1, 2019)
According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was killed in a motorcycle collision involving multiple vehicles last week on Monday on westbound I-80.
Authorities have reported being called to the scene following the incident which occurred at precisely 4:48 a.m.
Minimal details have been disclosed at this time, however, it was confirmed that a motorcycle and four additional vehicles were involved in the deadly accident.
Emergency medical personnel were quickly dispatched to the crash site and located the motorcyclist, identified as Thomas Clarke, 56, of Woodland, lying in the middle of the road with grave injuries. Life-saving resuscitative efforts were provided but to no avail as Clarke sadly died of his injuries and pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional details have been provided in regards to the other vehicle allegedly involved and whether or not any other motorists sustained injuries or left the scene.
CHP will continue its investigation which is pending.

While authorities have not disclosed which motorist will ultimately be held at fault for this incident, the family of Mr. Thomas Clarke may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim pending the results.
