Authorities have identified Sharon Hunt, 73, as the woman that sadly died after being struck by a car on while trying to get into her own vehicle in Holliston on Saturday, July 13th.
Officials report that Hunt was hit by a Toyota Prius just as she was attempting to get into her parked car, for an unknown reasons. The fatal crash took place at about 9:50 a.m. near the 798 block of Washington Street.
First responders found Hunt in critical condition and transported her to a local hospital, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries.
Hunt had just returned from a breakfast outing with one of her five sisters when she was hit and fatally injured. Police report that the driver of the Prius that hit her was cited and her license was suspended.
Although liability appears to be clear, an investigation into the facts that led up to the collision will be conducted and an official police report will be available. The family members of the victim may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim for the loss of love and companionship.
