Rodijah Peters, 77, Seriously Injured in Crash at Washington and Vallejo
PETALUMA (February 26, 2019) – A traffic accident left an elderly pedestrian seriously injured in the area of Washington and Vallejo streets Friday evening, February 22, according to The Press Democrat.
The victim, 77‑year‑old Peteluma resident Rodijah Peters, was the victim of the tragic collision which occurred at about 6:50 p.m.
As per the article, police said Peters was crossing East Washington Street at Vallejo Street when she was struck by a vehicle for an unknown reason. The car was going heading on Washington Street when it hit the woman who was reportedly in the crosswalk at the time.

Paramedics responded to the scene and found Peters lying in the roadway and suffering from major injuries as a result of the crash.
She was then immediately transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment. As of Monday evening, the pedestrian was listed in fair condition.
Meanwhile, it was not specified in the report whether or not the driver involved stopped after hitting Peters. Police identified the motorist as 47-year-old Christina Espinoza, of Littleton, Colorado. The incident is still under investigation.
