Woman in Wheelchair Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run
RIVERSIDE (April 5th, 2019)
A pedestrian died on Friday when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Chicago Avenue in Riverside.
The accident took place at 8:30 p.m. on Chicago Ave. near Massachusetts Ave. According to an eyewitness, the victim was in a wheelchair. She was in the road when she was hit, but the driver failed to stop as per the law.
The victim sadly died of her injuries shortly after being transported to the hospital.

At this time, the hit-and-run motorist remains at-large, according to Riverside authorities.
While authorities will hold the hit-and-run and suspect responsible for this tragedy leaving the family of the victim with the right to pursue a wrongful death claim against the defendant once located and detained.
