52-Year-Old Irvine Man in Serious Condition Following Crash
MIRA MESA, SAN DIEGO COUNTY (April 16th, 2019)
A head-on collision and rollover crash involving two vehicles near Barona Casino in East County on Tuesday night left two injured.
Ford Driver Veers Into Oncoming Lexus
The collision took place at approximately 9:35 p.m. in the northbound lane on Wildcat Canyon Road when 32-year-old El Cajon woman, driving a Ford Thunderbird, veered over the double yellow line, colliding into a 52-year-old Irvine man’s Lexus IS.
The impact caused the Ford to flip over and land on its roof, trapping the driver. The Lexus came to rest on its wheels in the southbound lane.
The aftermath of the wreck left the 52-year-old Irvine man with major injuries and was quickly rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old El Cajon woman was also seriously injured and hospitalized.
Head-on Crash Investigation
Officials have confirmed that no drugs or alcohol were involved and have placed liability on the behalf of the 32-year-old driver of the Ford leaving the 52-year-old Irvine man with the right to pursue a personal injury accident claim.
