Man Killed; Liseth Perez and Miguel Sanchez Injured in Chualar Car Accident
CHUALAR (February 26, 2019) – One was killed and several others were injured after an alleged DUI crash along Highway 101 Monday morning, according to KSBW.
The incident began when 19-year-old Jordan Navarro was driving a silver Jeep Cherokee southbound on Highway 101 at around 9:30 a.m.
As per the article, Navarro lost control of his car and slammed into the concrete median. The Jeep went airborne and ultimately struck a Pontiac Grand Prix, an Acura RSX, and a Saturn VUE.
California Highway Patrol said the driver of the Pontiac, a 50-year-old man, died at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
The motorist in the Acura, 19-year-old Liseth Perez, and her passenger suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.

The operator of the Saturn, 18-year-old Miguel Sanchez, and the other three occupants of the same vehicle sustained minor wounds. All six patients were transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas for treatment.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that Navarro was also taken to the hospital with major injuries including broken ribs and spinal and back fractures. He was believed to have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the wreck.
He is charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving without a license and possession of a controlled substance.
