CHICAGO, Ill. (June 26, 2019) – A 29-year-old man has sadly died days after he was involved in a motorcycle v. vehicle accident in Logan Square on the Northwest Side on Saturday, June 22nd.
Authorities have identified the motorcyclist as 29-year-old Enemias Mendez-Villatoro.
The fatal crash took place at approximately 9:22 p.m. June 22 in the 3200 block of West Fullerton Avenue. Mendez-Villatoro was traveling westbound when a 22-year-old woman driving a Honda Accord hit him as she turned northbound onto Kedzie Boulevard.
Emergency personnel transported Mendez-Villatoro to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries Monday night, June 24th.
The woman involved in the collision was issued three traffic citations for not having a drivers license, not having car insurance and failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
While an investigation into the facts of the collision is still underway, the family of Enemias Mendez-Villatoro, may be entitled to a wrongful death claim pending the investigation. Wrongful death family members may seek compensation for the loss of love and companionship.
