Man Suffers Head injuries, Broken Ribs, Broken Leg
LOS ANGELES (April 13th, 2019)
A father of two might never walk again after being struck by a hit-and-run driver at 3rd and Witmer streets in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13.
Edgar Hernandez was crossing the busy intersection against a red light when he was struck by the vehicle. The collision launched Hernandez about 30 feet, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He suffered serious head injuries, broken ribs, a broken leg and a broken arm.
Relatives told KTLA 5 that Hernandez may never walk again.
The driver is being sought. LAPD detective Moses Castillo said the driver wouldn’t have been charged if he or she had stopped following the accident.

While authorities are in search for the hit-and-run motorist responsible for this incident, Edgar Hernandez will have the right to pursue a personal injury claim against the defendant once located and detained.
