Odom, 59, Severely Injured in San Diego Hit-and-Run at Derrick and Genesee
SAN DIEGO (February 26, 2019) – A pedestrian severely injured after an alleged hit-and-run accident in the area of Derrick Drive and Genesee Avenue Saturday has been identified as Delores Odom, according to CBS 8 and FOX 5.
The 59-year-old woman was left suffering from major injuries after the collision which occurred on February 23 shortly before 6:25 p.m.
As per the reports, police said a Odom was crossing westbound in the south crosswalk when for an unknown reason she was struck by a vehicle in the Clairemont neighborhood.

The driver, headed west on Derrick Drive, reportedly made a left turn to southbound Genesee Avenue when they hit Odom.
Paramedics responded to the site and immediately transported the victim to an area hospital with a fractured back. She is possibly facing paralysis and requires complicated back surgery.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist involved did not stop after hitting Odom and fled the scene without rendering aid to the Clairemont woman.
