Chance Quesnell Killed, Brayden Whiteside Injured in Highway 2 Collision Near Highway 291 Involving Impaired Motorist, Christopher McIlveenSPOKANE, WA (November 1, 2018) – A 20-year-old driver was killed in an alleged DUI collision on Highway 2 near Highway 291 Saturday morning. Washington State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash just north of Spokane around 4 a.m. A preliminary investigation led officers to believe that 41-year-old Christopher M. McIlveen was heading northbound on Highway 2 when his Ford F-350 veered over the centerline and struck a Kia Optima head on. Chance J. Quesnell – the 20-year-old driver of the Kia – died at the scene and his 20-year-old passenger, Brayden J. Whiteside, along with McIlveen was transported to area hospitals. According to WSP Public Information Officer Jeff Sevigney, the incident is being investigated as a vehicular homicide case since McIlveen was believed to be impaired at the time of the incident.
