2 People Injured After Car Crashes Into Parked Vehicles Along 40th Street
SAN DIEGO (February 27, 2019) – Injuries were reported after an unidentified motorist crashed into parked vehicles along South 40th Street Tuesday evening, according to ABC News.
As per the article, the incident happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. just south of Imperial Avenue.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 38-year-old man was driving a 2005 Honda Civic southbound on South 40th Street when for an unknown reason the driver allowed his car to drift off the laneway and eventually struck parked automobiles. Officials said as many as four vehicles were involved in the wreck.

When emergency teams arrived at the crash site, they found one person suffering in injuries. That man, identified only as 43-year-old, was apparently sitting in the front passenger seat of the Honda when the collisions happened. The passenger was taken to a hospital for treatment of a fractured neck. Authorities added the 31-year-old man in the back seat of the sedan had a complaint of pain to his leg, and was immediately provided aid by medics.
Meanwhile, the Honda driver appeared to be unharmed in the accident.
The precise cause of the car crash is still being determined.
