Ashley Alred Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash Involving John Cummins on Highway 26 at South Booker RoadOTHELLO, WA (November 1, 2018) – A 35-year-old Connell woman lost her life Monday afternoon when her vehicle was struck by a semi-truck that ran a stop sign on Highway 26 at South Booker Road. According to reports, 35-year-old Ashley J. Alred was heading home on Highway 26 in her Ford Escape. However, things took a turn for the worse around 5:30 p.m. when her Ford was hit by a semi-truck at South Booker Road. John W. Cummins, 66, of Carson failed to stop at a stop sign as he approached Highway 26. Alred died in the crash while Cummins did not suffer any injuries. He was, however, cited for failing to stop at the stop sign. The aftermath of this crash is still under investigation.
