2 Hospitalized After Vehicle Crashes Into Bay Point Canal
BAY POINT (February 27, 2019) – Two people were injured after an SUV flipped and rolled over into a canal in the area of Alves Lane and Willow Pass Road Monday, according to East Bay Times.
The accident occurred on Monday around 4:09 p.m.
Per report, authorities responded on a call indicating an incident involving an SUV took place on a creek near the Bay Point intersection. First responders found an SUV partially submerged but still on its wheels in a drainage ditch.

Officials said both the driver, and the sole passenger in the SUV suffered injuries as a result of the accident. Medical records indicated paramedics transported the two victims to John Muir Medical Center at Walnut Creek for treatment.
One of the victims was reportedly trapped in the wreck, and suffered serious injuries. The identity of that person, and their condition at this time have not been disclosed thus far.
The investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the crash happened.
