School Bus Collides With Vehicle Injuring 3 Students
SPRING VALLEY (April 4, 2019)
Three Highland Elementary School students suffered minor injuries Thursday morning near the intersection of Bancroft Drive and Helix Street.
The incident took place at about 7:15 a.m. involving a school bus and an undisclosed vehicle.
The school bus they were passengers on swerved and suddenly stopped to avoid a car that pulled in front of it.
Three of the nine students on the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District bus were transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
School District officials notified all of the parents of the students involved. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials are investigating the incident.
Bus vs. Vehicle Collision
A forensic examination of both the school bus and the vehicle, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine which party ultimately caused the accident. Those injured, 3 children, will be entitled to a personal injury claims.
