Passenger in Honda Fatally Injured, Driver in Critical Condition
FULLERTON, CA (April 1, 2019)
A Long Beach man was arrested on several charges, including suspicion of DUI and driving a stolen vehicle. on Monday after killing one person and critically injuring another in a collision in front of Charlie Best’s Restaurant.
Randy Lamar Wilkins, 39, of Long Beach was also charged with suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, driving on a suspended license and bringing a controlled substance into a custody facility.
Wilkins caused the crash at about 9:50 a.m. in front of the restaurant, located at the intersection of Euclid Street and Valencia Drive. He was driving a stolen Toyota Highlander when he T-boned a Honda Accord.
The impact of the crash killed a passenger in the Honda, critically injuring the driver, who was transported to the hospital with “significant but non-life-threatening injuries.” Neither of the victims have been identified at this time.
Randy Lamar Wilkins Arrested for DUI
Shortly before the crash, police were called about a reckless driver at Orangethorpe Avenue and Brookhurst Road. The driver was later identified as Wilkins.
No additional information has been released.

Authorities have arrested and will hold Randy Wilkins fully responsible after being confirmed to have been under the influence while operating a vehicle. With liability being determined, the family of the passenger and the injured driver will be subject to a wrongful death and personal injury claim respectively.
