Joseph Gingrich Fatally Injured After Being Struck by a Car in Northern Solano County
DIXON, CA (April 8, 2019)
A man was killed in when he was struck by a vehicle after exiting his truck on Interstate 80 in northern Solano County on Monday morning.
Joseph Gingrich has been identified as Dixon resident that was fatally injured in the accident of April 8, 2019.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 59-year-old Gingrich was driving a white Chevrolet Silverado and he exited his truck to retrieve a ladder that had fallen off of it into the roadway. A boy, whose age is unknown at this time, was in the pickup truck when the accident occurred but was not injured.

Gingrich was then suddenly struck by a gray Toyota Camry.
Gingrich was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A boy, whose age is unknown at this time, was in the pickup truck when the accident occurred, but he was not injured.
The driver of the Camry did not report any injuries. It is unknown whether or not he will face charges.
