Woman Killed in Collision With Apex Auto Glass Truck
SANTA MARIA (April 4, 2019)
A woman driving a sedan was killed on Thursday in a crash involving an Apex Auto Glass pick-up truck.
The accident, which police are still investigating, took place at about 5 p.m.
Per officials, the woman ha been headed northbound on California Avenue when the Apex truck, headed eastbound on Union Valley Parkway, struck her.
The Santa Maria Police Department and Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident, where she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear at this time if alcohol or drugs played a part in the crash.
Police have not released the deceased woman’s name as they are trying to contact her family.

Officials have confirmed that no drugs or alcohol were involved and have not be able to determine liability leaving family of the victim with the possibility to pursue a wrongful death claim pending the findings of the investigation.
