Rosario Alvarez, Jr Identified as the Victim Killed in Lamont Crash

Rosario Alvarez Dead Lamont Car Accident March 29LAMONT (April 5, 2019) – A 36-year-old Bakersfield man was fatally injured after his Chrysler sedan collided with a tractor trailer while headed eastbound on Panama Road in Lamont.

The crash took place just after 4 p.m. on Friday, March 29.

The tractor trailer, which was traveling southbound on Commanche Drive, attempted to avoid the collision by braking and turning left, but collided with the driver’s side door of the Chrysler driven by Rosario Alvarez, Jr.

Alvarez was airlifted to Kern Medical, where he sadly died of his injuries.

The tractor trailer driver was uninjured.

Authorities are investigating the facts that led to the collision and ask that anybody who witnessed the event come forward.

After the investigation is complete, authorities will determine liability.
