Motorcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries in Hit-and-Run
CHICO, CA (April 1, 2019)
According to the ChicoER, a motorcyclist was badly injured following a hit-and-run collision over the weekend early Saturday morning on westbound Highway 99 near Highway 32.
California Highway Patrol officials were dispatched to the scene following the crash which occurred at an unknown time.
Driver of Red Sedan Triggers Crash, Flees Scene
Per at least one witness, the driver of an alleged year 2000 4-door red sedan had been swerving all over the road prior to checking the motorcyclist ejecting him from his bike.
The impact left the unidentified rider with very serious injuries for which he was taken to a local area hospital for as his condition is unclear as of Monday morning.
Meanwhile, the hit-and-run motorist fled the scene after the collision. The vehicle was eventually tracked down illegally parked outside a residence, however, the suspect had ditched the car and fled the scene.
No updates have been provided as it is believed the suspect remains at-large.
