Motorcyclist, 43, Seriously Injured in Accident, Flown to Arrowhead Regional

Hesperia Motorcycle Crash With Salvation Army Truck Tuesday on Cottonwood AvenueHESPERIA, CA (April 3, 2019)

A motorcyclist was severely injured after a collision with a big rig truck Tuesday afternoon on Cottonwood Avenue near Juniper Street.

At precisely 1:02 p.m., Hesperia police officials confirmed that a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2012 Kenworth Salvation Army truck had collided.

The wreck left the motorcyclist who has been identified as a 43-year-old male was airlifted from the scene via medical helicopter to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Although seriously hurt, he is expected to survive.

At this time, the circumstances of the incident are unclear as to what exactly happened leading up to the collision.

Authorities interviewed the Salvation Army truck driver at the scene and determined the driver to have not been under the influence.

No additional information has been provided as the investigation is ongoing.
