Pedestrian DUI Collision Investigation
In most instances, pedestrians possess the right-of-way when crossing an intersection or a street regardless if they are in a marked crosswalk. It is always a driver’s duty to yield to any pedestrian or bicyclist, however, pedestrians must take extra caution and never assume that a motorist will stop. Authorities will continue to look further into this incident as it is likely that at least some liability will be assigned to the driver.
Injured accident victims not found at-fault are entitled to compensation for medical expenses and hospital bills, as well as, pain and suffering.
